Common Notary & Apostille Questions – Elite Notary Signing

How do I book a notary appointment?

You can book online, call us directly, or use our contact form. We’ll confirm details like document type, location, and availability to schedule your mobile or remote appointment.

What should I do to prepare for a notary appointment?

You should have a valid government issued photo identification and bring all pages of the document, even if only one page requires notarization. The document must be complete and unsigned before the notary arrives unless you were given other instruction.

Do I need to print my own documents or can you bring them?

We can bring printed copies to your appointment for a small fee. You may email your documents in advance and request printing when you book.

How much does a mobile notary appointment cost?

Pricing varies depending on the type of document, number of signers, travel distance, and appointment time. Same-day, after-hours, and weekend services may include additional fees. Travel fees apply after the first 5 miles and are based on distance, urgency, and location. You can view our pricing page or contact us directly for a customized quote.

Can a notary come to my home, hospital, or office?

Yes. We offer mobile notary services throughout Georgia and can meet at your home, hospital, workplace, or care facility to complete the notarization.

Can I get something notarized after 5 PM or on weekends?

Yes. Evening and weekend appointments are available for an additional fee. Availability may vary, so early scheduling is encouraged.

What is the difference between a mobile notary and a remote online notary?

A mobile notary travels to meet you in person and checks your identification face to face. A remote online notary completes the notarization through a live video session. Remote online notarization is not currently allowed in Georgia.

Do you offer remote online notarization (RON)?

Yes, we offer secure remote online notarization for eligible documents across the United States. It's a convenient way to notarize documents from anywhere. If you're requesting an apostille for a notarized document, you can start the process using our online Apostille Request Form here: https://www.jotform.com/form/250996933498074

Can you notarize Power of Attorney documents?

Yes. Power of Attorney notarizations are one of our most requested services. We confirm witness requirements and ensure your POA is properly executed under Georgia law.

Can you help with medical forms and advance directives?

Yes. We notarize healthcare documents including Powers of Attorney for healthcare, HIPAA releases, and medical consent forms. While not all Georgia advance directives require notarization, we’ll help you determine what’s needed.

Can you notarize real estate or loan documents?

Yes. We notarize documents such as affidavits, warranty deeds, quitclaim deeds, and settlement-related paperwork. Georgia notaries cannot conduct full loan closings, but we support related notarizations for real estate and title documents.

What is the difference between a certified copy and a notarized original?

A notarized original is your actual signed document that has been notarized. A certified copy is a written statement made by a notary that confirms a photocopy matches the original document when permitted by Georgia law.

What documents do I need for a Georgia apostille?

You’ll need an original certified document issued in Georgia, such as a birth certificate, marriage certificate, school transcript, or a notarized Power of Attorney. We’ll confirm if any additional preparation is needed before submission.

Do you handle apostilles for documents going overseas?

Yes. We help clients get Georgia-issued documents authenticated for use in countries that are part of the Hague Apostille Convention, as well as countries requiring embassy or consular legalization.
