Caregivers often move fast because they have to. Appointments, medications, transportation, and emergencies leave little room to pause.
But when it comes to notarization, speed can work against the very people caregivers are trying to protect.
A rushed signing can result in a principal who does not fully understand the document, a missing witness, or an ID issue that invalidates the notarization entirely. Once that happens, the document cannot be fixed after the fact.
Timing matters because notarization is not about how quickly ink hits paper. It is about whether the signer is legally present, willing, aware, and properly identified at that exact moment.
ENS schedules caregiver appointments with buffer time built in, so no one feels pressured to “just get it done.” That pause is often the difference between a usable document and one that fails when it is needed most.
